***LEGAL Notice OF PUBLIC HEARING on the Budget***
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Proposed Budget of the Hoags Corners Fire District No. 1 of the Town of Nassau, State of New York, will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Hoags Corners Fire District No. 1, for its consideration.
A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Hoags Corners Fire House, 7237 NY 66, East Nassau, New York 12062, in the Town of Nassau, State of New York on the 17th day of October, 2017.
Pursuant to Town Law §105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing.
The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person to be heard in favor of or against the proposed budget as it is submitted, or for or against any item or items contained in the proposed budget, and hearing all persons interested in the subject concerning same.
A copy of the proposed budget is available at the Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Nassau at 29 Church St., Nassau, New York and the Office of the Fire District Secretary at 7237 NY 66, East Nassau, NY where it may be inspected by any interested person during office hours, which will be held October 13th from 5p-6pm.. The proposed budget is available on the District website, www.hoagscornersfd.org

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT, by resolution dated August 15, 2017, and approved by a majority of the Board of Fire Commissioners, the Hoags Corners Fire District No.1 has approved a resolution to hold a Public Hearing of the governing board of the Hoags Corners Fire District No. 1 for the purpose of taking public comment on the transfer of $40,469.60 from the District’s Repair Reserve Fund to the District’s Equipment Reserve fund. The Public Hearing shall be held on the 19th day of September, 2017, at the Hoags Corners Fire District No. 1 offices, located at 7237 NY-66, East Nassau, New York, and shall be held at 6:30 p.m. All persons interested in the transfer of the money between the reserve funds may be heard.
Annual Meeting Notice
The Board of Fire Commissioners of the Hoags Corners Fire District No. 1,
Town of Nassau, State of New York, will hold monthly meetings for calendar
year 2017 on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Hoags Corners
Fire House at 7237 NY 66,East Nassau, NY, 12062.
The Board of Fire Commissioners may hold supplementary meetings which are
needed to conduct additional district business. These meetings are open to the
public. Meetings will be posted in the Troy Record which is the official newspapers for the District.
